Rabbi Wing is currently the rabbi of Congregation B’nai Abraham in Beloit, Wisconsin. Previously, Rabbi Wing served as the rabbi of Congregation Anshai Emeth in Peoria, Illinois for five years. He had an internship at Har Sinai congregation in Baltimore, and served as the student-rabbi at congregations in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Michigan.
Rabbi Wing began his studies at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in Jerusalem in 1997. He then attended the Cincinnati campus of HUC-JIR and received his M.A. in Hebrew Letters in 2001 and was ordained in 2003. Rabbi Wing graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with a B.S. degree in 1993.
Rabbi Wing’s rabbinic thesis was a project to design an educational curriculum to teach Biblical Archaeology. As part of his research, Rabbi Wing worked on an archaeological excavation for one month at Tel Es-Safi, the Philistine city of Gath near Ashkelon in Israel.
Rabbi Wing is married to Rabbi Binah Wing of Temple Beth-El in Rockford, Illinois. They have lived in Rockford for 6 years, and have two wonderful daughters, Lilly Ruth and Dana.
