From the Desk

of The Executive Committee

The Board, on behalf of your congregation, has set a number of goals for this year.  B'nai Abraham is now an active member of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), the umbrella group for our Reform synagogue (formerly the UAHC.)  We need a network, particularly in the areas of membership and children's education.  Under the leadership of Edna Feldman-Schultz we have already begun our Saturday morning children's education classes with an increased attendance.  It is one of the highest priorities for this synagogue to enroll our children and grandchildren into this session.  To request a Yiskor Memorial please click here for the REQUEST FORM, which must accompany any request.  Please contact me, Edna or any Board member if you have any questions about children's education.  Finally, as a small congregation, we are always looking for friends and members who have areas of expertise to help out with many of the big and little issues that can arise.  We need you in our Jewish community.  The Executive Committee developed a framework for the officers to follow.  Each officer agreed to oversee the following activities:

Other members that have volunteered to serve on the Executive Board are: Laura Simon, Marty Kades, Dianne Lichtenstein, David Siker, Doug Rubnitz and Beloit College Student Board Representative Alicia Gramling.

The Executive Board would like to encourage each member to be involved in the synagogue whenever they can.  Being a small community, we rely on the volunteer efforts of each member to help support the many activities throughout the year.  It is amazing what we can accomplish if each member volunteers to assist with one activity during the year.
